Els Plain White T's són una banda americana de pop rock que va començar a tocar al 1997, a Villa Park, Illinois. Formada per un grup d’amics de d’institut, el grup tocava al metro de Chicago, en clubs i bars. Les cançons més famoses de la banda són "Hey There Delilah", molt famosa en varis països, i "1, 2, 3, 4". Al 2008, van rebre una nominació per un Grammy per "Hey There Delilah".’El seu últim àlbum és Big Bad World, del 2008.

Publicada al 2006, està inpirada en la Delilah DiCrescenzo, una corredora Americana coneguda a tota la nació. Higgenson, es va encapritxar d’ella, i tot i que la Delilah li va dir que ja tenia parella, ell li va prometre que li escriuria una cançó.

PER QUÈ L’HE TRIADA

Aquest estiu va ser el primer cop que vaig sentir aquesta cançó, cantada per un company amb la guitarra.
Portava un mes fora de casa i sense poder tenir quasi contacte amb la meva gent, i al sentir-la, em vaig emocionar. Trobo que està molt ben escrita, i reflexa sentiments d’enyorament i amor. A més, és un tipus de música molt tranquila, que es pot escoltar mentre es treballa.
